Interest in Research Project

Last year in Paula Lee's Language Development and Learning class, we learned how to use a Mimio in order to do a lesson in a kindergarten classroom. At the time I basically just learned how to use the Mimio so I could teach the lesson, but I feel I didn't learn a lot about why or how teachers incorporate the Mimio into their classroom. I felt that it was more of a nuisance rather than something the students could do easily; especially with kindergartners.

The one thing I did notice was that the students absolutely loved to have their turn at the board. I'd like to figure out how to use a Mimio correctly and how incorporate it in your classroom so it helps the students learning and introduces them to new ways of learning.

I think this topic would be fun to research and figure out. It'd also help in the future if I found some lesson plans and such on using the Mimio in a classroom.

What I've Learned - Day 1

I never thought about doing a virtual tour with a classroom. That's a great idea! I think it'd be fun to do a place where it'd be really hard to take all your kids, like a museum or a foreign country. I think that it would be a great tool to get your students involved and interested in what you're talking about.
